Manager, Business Development and Sales
Reporting to the Director, Alternative Lending, the Manager, Business Development and Sales is responsible for proactively leading the successful execution of sales and business development plans within Atlantic Canada and the Ontario market to drive revenue and business growth. This position is accountable for creating business development and sales plans; identifying business opportunities and prospects; securing financing arrangements that meet business requirements; and, building and retaining a strong relationship with key referral points, primarily in the broker channel. Other entities include banking institutions, legal and accounting firms, contractors and developers.

As the successful candidate, you have exceptional networking and relationship building skills, including excellent presentation, verbal and written communication capabilities. You have superior sales and sales management experience, including a proven record of delivering results, closing deals and driving revenue growth. You are knowledgeable in the area of mortgage lending and financing and have a strong service orientation mindset, focused on achieving exceptional service standards while being able to prioritize, multi-task and utilize sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on business, with a minimum of five years of relevant sales and business development experience, including working directly in a financing organization; or, equivalent combination of training and experience in a sales and business development role.
- Experience in sales / sales management to close deals and drive revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge in lending and financing.
